Haddon Dene Preparatory School is delighted to announce that they have a new Headmistress, Mrs Joanne Parpworth. Mrs Parpworth has recently been appointed as Headmistress, having worked at Haddon Dene for the past seven years. During this time, she has watched her own children flourish and thrive at our school before they transitioned to Chatham and Clarendon Grammar School.
Mrs Parpworth is an outstanding teacher. She began her career in secondary education, fulfilling several leadership roles including Head of Economics and Head of Sixth Form, and in her first year of teaching at Haddon Dene, she took the school into the Sunday Times Top 100 Prep School league table for the first time in its history.
The new Headmistress has a strong affinity with the traditional values which will drive Haddon Dene to be the finest academic and nurturing environment it can be. She is totally committed to ensuring every child receives an outstanding, rounded educational experience and exceptional pastoral care.
Mrs Parpworth said, “I am so proud to lead our wonderful school. I know the parents and children very well and they will be the absolute focus of all my decision making. Both my children benefited enormously from attending Haddon Dene and it is my job to ensure future generations continue to reach their fullest potential. The staff and I are thrilled and completely energised to build upon our unique legacy.”
Congratulations Mrs Parpworth, we are sure the school will continue to flourish under your leadership.
