We would like to offer our congratulations to Year 11 students receiving their GCSE results today. This year saw a significant increase in the number of top grades achieved and this, in particular, reflects the determination and commitment of students and staff. We offer all students our very best wishes as they take their next steps at school, college or in apprenticeships.

Warren Smith, Headteacher said, “There have been some exceptional individual performances, including a number of grade 9s in very challenging subjects such as English and history. It is well documented that these qualifications are more rigorous than those they replaced and these outcomes are the product of absolute dedication from students and expert guidance from staff.”

Achievement in GCSE art, BTEC dance, BTEC music, BTEC travel and tourism and BTEC sport was particularly strong.
