Young dancers from Impact Dance Academy traveled up to Blackpool to take part in the IDTA Nationwide Freestyle Rock and Roll Championships on the 10th and 11th November 2018 and left with seven Nationwide winners!

Newington Community Primary School have been exploring their world as they learn through practical experiences, they will soon start their formal journey, mixing discovery, challenge and fun in equal measures.
Pre-Prep pupils from St Laurence College were treated to a visit from the Kent Fire and Rescue Service and the London Fire Brigade. The children learnt about what to do if the smoke alarm goes off at home.
Pupils then had a tour of the fire engine, found out what tools could be used in case of an emergency and even had fun using the hose!
The year 7 pupils from Hartsdown Academy had a fantastic day at the Turner Contemporary learning about Patrick Heron and designing their alternative view point piece.
Pupils at Ramsgate Arts Primary love their school so much they have decided to rebuild it – in miniature. At the launch of the three-year venture 30 children from RAPS joined with others at Turner Contemporary Gallery in Margate, and they worked alongside the Turner Contemporary Navigator Lucy Pettet, the children’s chosen artist Babalola Yusuf, and Heritage Researcher Libby Scarlett who will continue to work alongside the children in school weekly for the rest of the project.
Primary School students from around the Canterbury area recently took part in the local Sportshall Athletics heats at Canterbury Academy. Congratulations to Blean and Bridge on their success and good luck as both teams go on to represent the Canterbury District in the Kent School Games Finals.
Young cross country runners from Upton Junior School in Broadstairs were Thanet’s best performers at one Kent’s largest track events. The 56-strong Upton team saw Year 3 and 4 pupils covering 1.1km, with Year 5 and 6 pupils stepping up to 2.2Km. Each race featured around 200 high-class runners with Bailee Harding finishing in second place!
