The Spirit of Christmas at St Ethelbert’s Catholic Primary School – Woof Woof!

The Spirit of Christmas at St Ethelbert’s Catholic Primary School – Woof Woof!

All of the infant children came together to say thank you to Buddy the Golden Retriever for another lovely year.

He is Reception Class’ pet at St. Ethelbert’s Catholic Primary School, Ramsgate. They all met him on their first day of school back on 5th September and he became their friend and caring companion. He will always listen to their joys and sorrows without complaint.

He helps them count, he plays in class with them and occasionally clears up any dropped food!

He looks after the children who are sad. He hears the children read their books.

He teaches all the children to respect and love God’s Kingdom.

He teaches children who are afraid of dogs to love safe dogs and how to dispose of animal waste sensibly and safely.

He is a happy face and waggy tail to greet the staff every morning. They also share him with the Nursery and junior pupils.

In return ‘Buddy’ is given lots of treats from the children and staff. He gets cuddles on demand.

Children queue up to walk him. He is never short of a cuddly toy to play with and so many balls to chase and retrieve!

He has his own Christmas sack full of goodies that the staff and children as well as his own Christmas card display.

Merry Christmas and Thank You ‘Buddy’.
