The Micro Museum team will be joining in the celebrations of Ramsgate’s maritime location during Ramsgate Week and Festival by having two weekends of sea-based themed games.

Saturday 22 & Sunday 23 July  &  Friday 28, Saturday 29 & Sunday 30 July
1-4pm on all days

Visitors are sure to have a jolly time (even if the name isn’t Roger) playing with the fishes, fishing for the fishes or adventuring with pirates – all on the classic games consoles.

As a special extra over the event, visitors will be able to enjoy the hands-on experience of a ground-breaking fishing game played on the Sega Dreamcast.  Get Bass was a forerunner of the motion controlled games which, a whole decade later, became the norm on the Nintendo Wii. This is the latest game to feature in the ODT Space in the Museum where visitors will often find the odd, obscure, unusual or simply most bizarre games to try.

Carol Deer who owns the Museum with husband Mike said, “We are proud to be an independent business but also proud to be able to play our part in adding to the attractions available to everyone who will be enjoying all that Ramsgate has to offer during Festival Week”.

The second of the two weekends of the event includes Friday 28 July – the first of the Museum’s extra Friday openings which will continue throughout the school summer holiday season – whatever the weather.

There is no extra charge for admission during the Sea event – you can enjoy all that the Museum has to offer for the standard entry charge.  There is no need to book in advance.

The Museum can be found on Church Hill in Ramsgate. More information on www.themicromuseum.org.
