Educational Life CIC ‘Start-Up Award’ Finalists at the Canterbury Business Awards!

What a phenomenal couple of months we are having following our first year in business!

The Educational Life team are still riding the high after Claire won the award for Start-Up Business of the Year at the Kent Women in Business Awards … but it seems the good news we have to share with you just keeps coming.

We are delighted to announce that we are Finalists at the Canterbury Business Awards in their Start-Up Award category!

To say that we are over the moon and feeling very touched doesn’t quite cover it. We are so honoured and proud to be recognised for the work we do for our communities.

Managing Director, Claire Turner said,

I am grateful for this year, for the challenges and opportunities it has brought us. The start of our second year has been phenomenal and I couldn’t be happier or more grateful! Onwards and Upwards!

We don’t need to tell you, but during the first couple of years in business, there are many ups and downs, goals you smash through and others that you need to realign or change completely. There are moments where you feel that the struggle is almost insurmountable but then the purpose kicks back in with our WHY – we want to inspire positive change and make a difference to people in our community. The saying “blood, sweat and tears” is so true. When you’re passionate and emotionally invested in your work you cannot help but care so deeply. It is a challenge but one that brings all of us so much joy.

Marketing Director, John Turner said,

It has been an amazing year! We have made some amazing progress; taken on some amazing colleagues; met some amazing people and we are honoured and proud to have been considered for any awards, especially two of the most prostigeous awards in our region… let alone winning a Kent Women in Business Award and being a Finalist at the Canterbury Business Awards! Just amazing!

Of course, we also stand beside some phenomenal local entrepreneurs and are humbled by their work and attitudes. Some we have met previously, but others we are looking forward to getting to know. This is our night to celebrate this terrific achievement as a business community, to support one another and relish the joy for one another. Without local commerce and a determination to make a difference none of us would be finalists.

So who are we Finalists with?
