Christmas dinner has been served 1000 times over by kitchen staff at Newington Community Primary School in Ramsgate.

The catering team led by cook Helen Moore have prepared and cooked traditional healthy festive dinner and puddings plus other meal options to more than a thousand eager – and hungry – pupils in just two days.

The team were dressed in their colourful festive tops as they served up the meals which pupils voted as “really tasty” and “smashing”.

Meanwhile other staff were in the festive mood too, including the reception and admin team who wore their best Christmas outfits including hats, tops and even sparkly silver festive bows on their shoes.

We’re sure that our readers’ will agree, that it is refreshing to read such lovely comments about the achievements of the Newington School Staff – the “unsung heroes” that make such a tremendous difference to the day to day running of our children’s schools.

How awesome the Christmas clothing is too! Very festive! It’s heartwarming to see that Every Child and Every Staff Member matter at Newington Community Primary School.
