Children from Upton Junior School in Broadstairs were invited to the British Fast5 Netball Championships, the first tournament of its kind, by England Netball. Children at Newington Community Primary School in Ramsgate are being urged to Speak Out and Stay Safe. They are taking part in the nationwide NSPCC (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children) programme that gives a generation of children the knowledge and understanding they need to stay safe from abuse and neglect. Pupils are taught to speak out if they are worried, either to a trusted adult or to Childline. Children at Chilton Primary School in Ramsgate have once again pulled out all the stops with generous donations for good causes. Pupils and their families with support from staff have gathered together a mini mountain of tins and packets of food, which was arranged in the school hall where it swamped the stage, awaiting collection from the Salvation Army.
